Where are we?

Rawsonville – The Breede River Valley

Rawsonville in the Breede River Valley is situated an hours drive from Cape Town in the Western Cape of South Africa. The Worcester wine district which Fairhills falls under is situated within the Breede River Valley. It is the biggest wine grape producing area in South Africa. The Fairhills project lies in the heart of the Breede River Valley.

The Du Toitskloof mountain range protects the valley form three sides and causes cooler conditions.  With a Mediterranean-like climate it has an ideal micro-climate for producing quality red and white varieties.

THE FARMS

The 21 farms of Du Toitskloof encompass 750ha of land. This equates to 13,500 tons of grapes harvested each year and of this 70% is white and 30% is red. All of this wine is Fairtrade accredited and can be used under the Fairhills Label.
